Reality Blog: Midyear Copywriting Business Checkup

July 12, 2018 | By Ed Gandia | No Comments

Today, it’s July 4, 2018. And two days ago, it was Monday, July 2.

Why are those dates significant to me? Why do I point them out?

Well, on the fourth of July, we Americans celebrate our Independence from Great Britain. It’s a significant day in the history of our country.

So, it seems appropriate that we freelancers claim that date to celebrate our own independence, or at least our progress toward it.

And July 2?

The second day in July is the 183rd day in our calendar. It’s the midpoint of our year. And, it was a good date to sit back and evaluate the journey so far… and to plan for the future.

So, I did.

Reality Blog: A Copywriting Business Midyear Progress EvaluationI looked up some quotes on progress, and I’d like to share them with you. Then, we’ll take a look at my progress toward my business goals this year… and make plans for the future.

  • Right on Steve! Glad to hear you’re making forward progress, even if it’s slow & steady. I also like how you’re always tweaking and adjusting what you’re doing. That’s important if we want to grow our businesses. What worked yesterday may not work today and may not fit what we’re doing with our businesses today.

That’s especially true for our own marketing methods. It’s always good to stay current on what’s working and to see how we can stretch those positive activities into something more.
